On a TrackingPoint firearm, the heads up display overlays the information about the ammunition, environment, and shot orientation that affect accuracy. Once a shooter designates the desired location of a shot (a.k.a., “tag”), the advanced internal ballistic computer immediately generates a firing solution. That solution is based on a number of inputs and factors that affect the bullet’s flight. The shooter then adjusts their point of aim, aligning the ballistically corrected reticle on the target and executing the shot, even on targets moving at up to 10 mph.
