Welcome to the Shot Made blog, a new blog by TrackingPoint made especially for you. We’re glad you’re here, and we thank you for following along with us on our journey to transform this remarkable company. And it truly is remarkable, not just because of the brilliant minds who create and work on the technology, but because of the hearts and souls of the genuinely good people who work here. We’re on a mission to transform the company, determined to bring new products and precision technology to more and more hunters, shooters, and firearms enthusiasts.
For this, our inaugural post, we want you to know that this blog is for you, the hunting, target shooting, or general firearms enthusiast. We want to bring you content and topics that you care about. We have ideas of course, but we want to know what you enjoy reading, engaging with, and sharing.
Some of the topics on the roster include getting back to basics with shooting skills and techniques. Even though the technology of our current products doesn’t necessarily require that you be an exceptionally skilled shooter, we believe that regardless of what you’re shooting, there are things you can do to exponentially improve your accuracy through technique. We want to make you a better shooter. We also plan to bring you the hunting stories and experiences of our customers, whether we tell their stories or you read their stories first-hand; and sure, we will cover some of the how-to’s when it comes to operating our products, and how-to’s on proper firearm care and cleaning. There will even be a surprise guest blogger every now and then!
We want to ensure a variety of useful content and have some fun along the way. While you’re here, don’t forget to sign up to receive an update when a new blog posts. You can do so in the right hand menu on the main blog page. All we ask for is your email, and when we post you’ll auto-magically receive an email notification.
But we’re going to need your help if this is going to be a great blog you enjoy reading and that we enjoy writing. We’ve put together a quick and easy survey (four questions) – tell us what you want to read about, what ideas you have, and how often you would like to see a new post.
Do you have a story to tell? Did you experience an amazing hunting trip that you’d like to see on our blog? Let us know. Use this form to send your story for review; after filling out the fields, you can upload a Word doc or PDF of your content, and attach 2 to 3 photos.
We also want to bring you wild game recipes – incredible, delicious recipes and techniques for preparation to create dishes that’ll become family favorites. Recipes such as my fried venison and cream gravy recipe, or my venison stew recipe. If you have a recipe you want to share, you can also complete the content submission form mentioned above.
So this blog is for you, and we invite you to help us craft it to your benefit. Submit a hunting story, a recipe, a video, a picture. If it’s a video or a picture, be sure to include an explanation of it and include the names of those pictured. If we don’t use it on our blog, we might use it on our Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram! We invite you to engage with us: we want to hear from you – so let’s get to know each other, learn some stuff, and have some fun!
